In trying to find good topics to discuss here on this here blog of mine, I realized there’s not too many resources with Filipino-centered debate topics or essay topics.

So let’s try to compose a list of debate topics that could apply in the Philippines:

Aesthetics

- This House believes beauty pageants help foster healthy standards of beauty for Filipinos

Technology

- This House believes artificial intelligence technology is going to put many people, across the globe, out of work

- This House believes Filipino children should be exposed to mobile technology as soon as possible

- This House believes vaping should be banned

- This House believes Mobile Legends, and similar MOBAs, is a healthy social development tool for the youth

Health and Medicine

- This House believes reproductive health programs need to be implemented in the Philippines

- This House believes marijuana should be legalized

- This House believes abortion should not be legalized

- This House believes euthanasia, for persons with a terminal illness, should be legalized in the Philippines

Economy and Industry

- This House believes foreign investors should be able to own 100% of their businesses in the Philippines

- This House believes the Philippines fosters an investment friendly climate

- This House believes the Philippines should shoulder all the domestic costs in the fight against climate change

- This House believes global warming is a real phenomenon occurring across the globe wrecking havoc on regional weather

- This House believes the Philippines needs to open new nuclear power plants for more energy production

- This House believes the Philippines should utilize the Bataan Nuclear Power Plant again
